Theologian-in-Residence
Nathan is Theologian-in-Residence and an Assisting Priest at Church of the Apostles. He holds a Ph.D. in Practical Theology from the University of Durham (UK), an M.Div from Beeson Divinity School, and a BA from Wheaton College. He is Associate Dean of the Graduate School, U.S. Army Institute for Religious Leadership at Fort Jackson, SC; Executive Director of the Institute for Faith and Resilience; and an Army Reserve Chaplain. He was ordained at COTA in 2008 and is excited to have returned recently.
He enjoys reading and collecting books, traveling, and spending time with his family. He is married to Caroline and they have three children. He likes to study and research a diversity of topics, including resilience to trauma, the medieval English mystic Julian of Norwich, and the French philosopher Paul Ricoeur.
