WELCOME!

A sign hanging at a coffee shop our women frequent says,

“You can always sit with us.”

That is what our women’s fellowship is all about.

Christ has brought to us to his table for belonging, growth, and service, and we invite you to pull up a chair. Keep reading below for the ways to gather, grow, and give with us.

First, though, read on about our bi-annual Women’s Retreat!

Bible Study 2025-2026

Luke & Acts

The Certainty & The Call

Luke wrote his two volumes to reassure the church in the certainty of their belief, as they continued the call to take the Gospel from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth.

We’ll see how the evidence he gave to those early believers speaks to us in the doubts and challenges we face today, as we seek the empowerment of the Spirit in fulfilling God’s call to each one of us.

Lessons are taught by Deacon Lisa Wheeler. We’ll study Luke in the fall (booklets are $12) and Acts in the spring.

Bible study meets EVERY OTHER WEEK during the fall and spring, with offerings on Tuesday mornings (childcare provided, please contact Lily Dunn to register) and Wednesday evenings. Both offerings provide time for intensive teaching, followed by discussion and prayer in koinonia groups. Homework is offered but optional. Drop-in visitors are welcome throughout the year. To learn more or to sign up, please contact Lisa Wheeler.

Koinonia Groups

These groups of 4-12 members meet with trained leaders for biblically-based discussion, prayer, and as a launching pad to fellowship events. Women can join in one of two ways, and some women do both!

1) Bible study. These groups in different rooms of the church following the teaching portion of Women’s Bible study, described above.

2) Book study. These groups meet on the off-weeks of Bible study, some in homes and others at the church. This year groups are studying John Mark Comer’s Practicing the Way.

A Teaching in Three Parts…

QUESTIONS GOD ASKS

LED BY DEACONS JAN KANEFT & LISA WHEELER

In this intensive course with times for teaching, individual reflection, and group discussion, we see how God uses questions from Genesis to the Gospels to comfort and convict his people at points of impasse, in their moments of heartbreak, sickness, restlessness, and rebellion… questions such as, “Where are you?... What have you done?... What is your name?... Why are you afraid?... What do you want?... Do you love me?” We apply these questions to our own areas of dislocation, using them to calibrate our hearts, re-orienting them in the Gospel of Christ.

A $30 fee covers meals and supplies. The course takes place over Friday evening (5:30-8:30p) and Saturday (8:30-4:30p). Next session dates TBD. To sign up for a future session, please contact Deacon Lisa.

GIVE…

The strong representation of women involved in the ministries below has created a bridge between women’s fellowship and women-ministering-to-women. Consider where you might find a place to belong and to share your gifts:

If you would like to be trained to serve communion to those who are unable to attend church due to prolonged illness or physical difficulties, please contact Deacon Allison Lewis.

If you would like to help provide meals for those in need, please contact Amber Cook.
