Passover Begins April 12

6p Seder Meals in Homes
Our Lord instituted his Holy Eucharist as the fulfillment of the Passover. The liturgy of this shared meal demonstrates the remarkable ways Jesus fulfilled salvation history in his death and resurrection. Gather with family and friends to observe the Seder meal.

This year we are designating the first day of Passover to observe Seder Meals in homes. Join a long-standing tradition of gathering with family and friends to read through the seder liturgy (Haggadah) before eating dinner together. Just a few simple items from the home and grocery store are needed:

  • Salt water

  • Two candles

  • Shank-bone (the butcher at your grocery store is familiar with this)

  • Matzah Crackers

  • Horseradish

  • A hard-boiled egg

  • Parsley

  • Red Wine

  • A small prize (such as a Hershey Kiss, a quarter, a small toy, etc…)

  • Haroset (mix applesauce, cinnamon, honey, and crushed nuts)

  • A Haggadah (liturgy) for each participant. Download here.

TODO —> For copies of the liturgy (Haggadah), email Carol@cotacola.org or download them here.
