Ministry to pregnant and parenting teens

Jan Kaneft commends this ministry to us.

A short look into this amazing and important work.

Young Life in the Midlands is currently working to start a new ministry in the Midlands called YoungLives that will specifically serve pregnant and parenting teens. YoungLives has a vision of reaching teen moms by entering their world, modeling the unconditional love of Christ, and encouraging them to become the women and mothers God created them to be.

They are hosting a city-wide interest breakfast on Saturday, August 11 where they will explain the ministry in depth, talk about our vision for the ministry in the Midlands, and discuss potential ways to get involved. There are many different roles in a YoungLives ministry; everything from mentors, committee, childcare workers, a meal team, a prayer team and etc, so they would love to get as many people in the room as possible to hear more!

You can contact Katie Lindeman at or 859-948-8300 with any questions.

This summer YoungLives is holding a camp at Carolina Point where 135+ babies and teen moms are expected for an incredible week for our friends to hear about a God who loves them, build new friendships, laugh, sing and enjoy great food and community. We have a need for supplies to pull the week and if you're interested in helping check out the registry below!
